Whether you’re suddenly facing weeks of working from or home schooling, from Monday 23 March, the Museums team will be bringing you a host of online workshops through Facebook, wherever you are!
Join in with Wardlaw Workshops on Mondays at 10am, to find out about a cool experiment or fun project your kids can do at home. We’ll supply you with a mission for the week ahead and advice from an expert at the University of St Andrews to help you complete it. From creating secret messages like the ancient Incas to building your own flying machines, we’ll keep you busy every week.
On Wednesdays at lunchtime, 1pm, we’ll be bringing a moment of calm to the grown-ups. Our collections are full to the brim with objects that have interesting stories to tell… so we’ll be hosting Museum Storytime!
On Fridays at 10am, Wee Wardlaws is coming to you online!
Inspired by our collections, every Friday we will be bringing you rhymes, stories, activities and crafts to keep your wee ones entertained.
We hope that you can join us!
Wardlaw Museum opening
In light of the rapidly-evolving pandemic of coronavirus Covid-19 in the UK, Europe and further afield, we have taken the decision to postpone the opening of the Wardlaw Museum.
This is one of a number of steps we are taking, based on expert medical advice and in close consultation with the Scottish Government, to minimise the spread of the virus, keep staff and students safe, and protect our local community. More details, including our new opening date, will be posted here soon.
Please be assured, this is not a signal that the University is preparing to close. The University will continue to deliver teaching and assessment to the best of its ability.
